Design for sustainability is integral to all projects in the studio as standard. Progressive technologies and strategies are methodically supported in the design at each project stage. ASSEMBLAGE has achieved new-build BREEAM ratings of "Excellent" since 2008.
The studio uses market-leading Autodesk Revit software, a 3D Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflow, combining intelligent drawn geometry with project-wide coordinated information databases.
The use of both physical and digital models is an integral part of the studio's working process. These models range widely in scope from conceptual sketch models to larger format presentation models. The models explore conceptual, structural and detailing design issues for the benefit of client and designer alike.
Abstract and realistic visualisations of design work are produced in-house by the studio, including films. The studio also supplies graphic identities, signage and 2D materials palettes for built work.
